Brittany Ahia

Hi everyone,

I’m Brittany Ahia (pronounced ah-he-uh), and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as we kick off the 2024-2025 school year. This is my first year teaching at Etiwanda, and my 7th year overall in the classroom. I've had the pleasure of teaching kindergarten and first grade, with three years each in those grades. I'm especially excited to be back in kindergarten this year!

I hold a BA in Psychology and Studio Art from Pepperdine University and earned my teaching credential through CalState TEACH. Additionally, I spent two enriching years in the Peace Corps, where I taught English to students in grades 2-11 in Ukraine. I am married and have two wonderful children, one at Falcon Ridge and one at Summit Intermediate. In my free time, I enjoy arts and crafts, camping in Mammoth, going to the beach, and OneWheeling.

I am passionate about influencing future generations through education, particularly in the young primary grades. Kindergarten is such a magical and fun time; your child will grow in so many ways and learn how to be a student with me. They will become independent and take their first steps in directing their education for the next 12 years. I look forward to connecting with each family this year and collaborating to support your child in their educational journey. Communication is key to making this a successful year. Please contact me with any questions or if you need support. I will also be reaching out to share positive notes and to ask for your support when needed. You can contact me through email, Rooms, or by calling the school at (909) 463-6111. You can also reach me through the "Contact Me" tab on my homepage.

I look forward to working with you and your child this school year!
